2026 Summer Linemen Monday Night Clinics

This FREE program is open to Wilton Youth Tackle players (rising grades 5-9) who are ALREADY REGISTERED for the 2026 season. All rising 5th-9th graders MUST register be registered in SportsConnect for this program with Wilton Youth Football. (NO WALK-INs permitted).

(Rising 9th graders will register for their 2026 Freshmen Tackle Football season AFTER THE 6/1 WHS Athletics meeting, following WHS AD with instructions on their registration process.)

  • Clinics will be Mondays, June 1-July 20th (8 sessions)
  • 7-8 PM @ Wilton HS Fields. (Coaches will email specific clinic locations each week)
  • Wear cleats. No pads or equipment. Bring water

2026 Rookie & Tackle

Wilton Youth Football offers MTF (Rookie) and Tackle divisions for Wilton residents, grades 3-8, within the Fairfield County Football League.

Important Dates (All Divisions)
  • Early Bird Registration: Friday, May 1 - Monday, June 15th. (Pricing listed on registration page DOES NOT INCLUDE EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT. Early bird rate applied at checkout. Financial Aid available to those who qualify. Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
  • Regular Registration: June 16th-August 1st
  • Mandatory Preseason: Begins Monday, August 17th, 2026. Preseason Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~2 hours each evening, times TBD (Aug 18 – Aug 28).
  • 2026 Jamboree TBD (likely August 29th-August 30th). Teams play Sat OR Sun, not both. Eligibility: Players MUST have 16 hours of mandatory practice (6 hours of conditioning (helmet only) & 10 hours in full pads. Players can't practice in full pads until they complete 6 hours of conditioning.
  • Regular Season begins: Monday, August 31st.
  • Practices typically 3x weekly, pending HC's schedule & field availability)
  • Practice schedules are not finalized until late August.
  • Playoffs are typically held from the end of October/ early November to mid/late November.
  • FCFL Championships: late November (following the pattern of previous years)

Rookie Football (MTF): Grades 3 & 4
9v9 hybrid program designed as a bridge between flag and tackle.
  • The "Tackle": Plays end by pulling a flag from the ball carrier’s belt (no physical hits).
  • Contact Level: Limited and controlled. Linemen physically engage and block (only above the waist) to open lanes.
  • Equipment: Full pads
  • Commitment: 2–3 practices per week; 1 game on weekends.
  • Football must be the primary fall sport. Full attendance required for optimal team/player development/experience

Tackle Football: Grades 5–8
11v11 traditional travel program focusing on full-contact competitive play.
  • Commitment: Full attendance is expected and required
  • Football must be the primary fall sport.
  • Mandatory preseason practices follow the same 5-day-a-week schedule as the Rookie division.
  • Full attendance required for optimal team/player development/experience

PLEASE NOTE: FOR A SMOOTHER REGISTRATION PROCESS, DESKTOP/LAPTOP COMPUTER REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED. PLATFORM CAN BE GLITCHY VIA CELL PHONE REGISTRATION.

2026 Fall Coed NFL Flag Football Registration

2026 Fall Coed Flag Football


Season Details
  • Open to all boys and girls from Pre-K to 8th grade.
  • Multi-activity participant-friendly, as games are played on Saturday afternoons and evenings.
  •  Games are held at Middlebrook Fields (Middlebrook Middle School) and Cider Mill Elementary School.
  •  Community volunteers coach all teams. High School and Middle School kids are the referees.

  • 06/05 - Registration Opens
  • 07/06 - Early Bird pricing ends
  • 08/20 - Registration closes / Waitlist begins
  • 08/21 - Player Evaluation Night
  • 08/22 - 8/28 - Team Formation & Coach Trainings
  • 08/29 - Equipment Handout day (Coaches & Players)
  • 09/12 - Weekend #1 of games
  • 11/07 - Last weekend of games (Championship weekend)

Division Details
  • Pre-K - $99
  • Kindergarten - $149
  • 1st - 8th Grade  - $ 199 Early Bird Pricing / $249 after July 6th
  • Divisions by Grade (3rd) or Combined Grade (3rd/4th)

Time Commitment
  • Pre-K clinics are held on Saturday afternoons only, no practices.
  • Grades K-8 games are held on Saturdays afternoons/evenings.
  • Grades K-8 have a weekly practice set by the volunteer head coach.
  • Practices are held on Saturdays before games or weekdays in the late afternoon or early evening.

Start Times / Schedules
  • Grade/Division start times are scheduled after classic fall sports to allow kids to participate in other activities and sports.
  • Initial Division game start times will be communicated by 08/01, and are subject to change based on Coach feedback. 
  •  Saturday start times vary by grade/division. 
  • Each Saturday, a division/clinic will have the same start time.
